suggestions on ink

6 messages · last activity 6/29/2004

I am just about to order new ink, I have used ink from Superrior tattoo and now I am using Starbrite ink. Now that I am going to make a new order for ink, I want to know if anyone has any suggestions on which inks are good for color work. I know there is a lot of opinion on which ones to use, but any advice to start me in the right direction would be good, thanks in advance to anyone who replies, I can get emails at [email removed]
Starbright and used by tons of fantastic tattoo artists and the new soba inks are worth looking into.
Ive been mixing my own pigment for about 5 years now. I highly recomend powders. Over the last few months I've been asked to try out SOBA's "Stable" piment. I have to say they're pretty good, so far the closest to the powders that I've been mixing. Several of his colors even have a much richer base than mine. These are definately going to become part of my permanent palette. Also he makes some of the best white I've ever used. If your interested in seeing some of his colors under the skin, check out www.joecapobianco.com I've posted some pictures, and have written a little about some of his pigments. All of his pigment are available thru PULSE int. www.pulsetattoo.com you can order a sample set thru them, or 2-8 ounce bottles. Hope this is some help... J.Capobianco www.hopegallerytattoo.com

Hey man, is there a place online we can see your tattoos?
I hope to have something online real soon. I do a lot of polynesian work, tribal stuff from the islands. I have been getting into color work and that is why I was asking about color ink, but like I said, I hope to have something online as far as pictures soon. I will post the website as soon as I get it for sure.
